Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), plan and pull off a song-and-dance number that will save the world.

Alright, so that's not the EXACT synopsis for ANT-MAN, but maybe if the film was as fun as the above video, it would be sitting pretty with more than $133 million worldwide. IRON MAN it was not, but the film did manage to set up a few more interesting characters in the Marvel-verse. Let's see what role they play in the upcoming CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR!

ANT-MAN is now in theaters, with CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR hitting May 2, 2016.

"...maybe if the film was as fun as the above video, it would be sitting pretty with more than $133 million worldwide."
Is it me of this kind of a douchey comment from the writer about a movie that I think many, many people actually enjoyed and IS making money?

The writers voicing their opinions within articles is kind of what JoBlo is all about. Your comment is the douchy one seeing as how you're just butthurt he said something negative about a film you like.

I understand what you are saying KB but I don't think that's the case here. The community here seemed to love Ant-Man based on the Friday it opened's 'What Did You Think' column. The staff at Joblo seemed to like it a lot with their 2 positive reviews. The general public seemed to like it based off imdb and metacritic scores. So if the writer of this article really didn't like Ant-Man why is he posting a week old video just to slam it when he could have just sent it to another writer on staff,

Everyone's comments here are justified.

Yeah, I realize I'm in the minority when it comes to Ant-Man. At least, as far as my co-workers and most news outlets are concerned. Box-office numbers don't lie and Ant-Man is sitting pretty low on the Marvel totem pole.

To answer DareDevil's question, I posted the video because I thought it was funny. If I chose not to write an article because I had some reservations about a movie, I wouldn't have a job! Who cares if I thought Ant-Man was mediocre? Paul Rudd is still the man! And Michael

"The writers voicing their opinions within articles is kind of what JoBlo is all about."

true, but this comment seemed more mean spirited and condescending in nature than usual.

by that train of thought...you must t hink that Transformers is pretty much the greatest movies ever right? Hey...the Numbers dont lie.

Look we all knew that Ant-Man was going to have an uphill battle. You can pull the

Look we all knew that Ant-Man was going to have an uphill battle. You can pull the Guardians of the Galaxy card all you want....however delivering a STAR WARS type movie (despite being a mostly unknown property) is easier to promote than it is to promote...ANT MAN. It has been out a week...movie movie is at 144 million (not counting this weekends gross) and is already 14 million into the green (yes yes i know marketing etc bla bla bla) so all things considered its a success and itll build on its name. First movies in unkown series rarely make maaaaaaaaaaaassive bank. It's the sequel that does. considering this movie has another 8 or so weeks at the box office, this movie will hit 350-400 million WW. Funny that we live in a world that if a movie doesnt make 1 billion...it is considered a massive failure.
