Cool Videos: Simon Pegg pranks his Star Trek Into Darkness costars into wearing neutron cream

09.03.2013

During the press junkets for STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, many of the cast-members made reference to a prank played on set involving Simon Pegg and something called "neutron cream". Very often when we hear about these stories told to talk show hosts like David Letterman or Jimmy Kimmel, we laugh along with the storyteller but never get to be in on the fun.

This just discovered video comes from the STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS production and appears to be an official featurette, possibly from the Blu-ray. In it, Pegg explains the prank and then goes on to get Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, and Benedict Cumberbatch. Cumberbatch's reaction may be the best since he discovers the joke in front of a large number of crew-members.

It is nice to see there is some fun to be had in these big studio productions. I do imagine that even though Simon Pegg seems to be a very likeable guy, Cumberbatch will have his vengeance.

the article.....and video

The article is poorly written because the joke that is being played on the actors doesn't make any sense unless you know where they are filming....umm DUH!! and the video in question does not say where they are filming....luckily i remembered where the film set took place and that makes all the difference....I'm not sure if the video that we watched is the full video you get from the DVD features but hopefully somewhere they let everyone know the location. So, I hope that makes sense to

I thought parts of the movie were filmed at the Large Hadron Collider....but I could be wrong and if I am then the location in question would probably be at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory....but who knows since its not mentioned.....

possibly from the Blu-ray

But thanks to the dipshit marketing people @ Paramount splitting up more than half of the "Into Darkness" special features as retailer exclusives ...most Trek movie fans prob wouldn't get to see this little slice of awesomeness. So thank you Joblo.com for making sure us fanboys (& girls) get to check out cool videos like this. :)

(as Herbert from "Family Guy" would say) "...keep on bringing me some of that good [movie] news."

Well played, Simon, well played

That's a great practical joke. Benedict Cumberbatch's reaction may be the best, but Karl Urban and John Cho's were right up there as well.
