Cool Videos: South Park leads the Inception backlash

It was bound to happen eventually and last night it finally did: "South Park" had an episode focused on INCEPTION. While the film was never mentioned by name, it did feature animated cameos from the movie's characters as Stan and his Dad are trapped in the dreams of Mr. Mackey who is attempting a sort of regression therapy to help him stop hoarding.

While there are tons of laughs in this episode, titled "Insheeption," (look for the scientist in the background who hums the INCEPTION theme every time anyone attempts to explain what's going on), the episode takes aim at the film and its popularity. In the clip below, Stan's Mom is trying to make heads or tails of what's going on. After South Park DiCaprio explains it to her and South Park Gordon-Levitt says how cool it all is, she replies, "Just because an idea is overly convoluted and complex doesn't mean it's cool! Going to multiple dream levels sounds like a really stupid idea..."

South Park DiCaprio's response is eerily similar to the only comeback most people on the internet seem to have if you say you don't like INCEPTION. "You just don't get it because you're not smart enough." Watch the clip below and you can head to South Park Studios and watch the entire episode online (it's worth it just to see a young Mr. Mackey).

Extra Tidbit: The episode also opens with an impressive reference to JACKASS 3D.
