Last Updated on August 2, 2021

“Don’t die on me!” Iconic words or cliche movie line? Every time I see or hear this quote, I always want to add the word “bro” at the end which makes it funny when it really shouldn’t be. But, that doesn’t stop screenwriters from popping it into dialogue in every sort of movie from comedy to drama and beyond. So, what does that mean? Supercut time!

Compiled for your viewing pleasure here is a very brief video compiling a great number of instances of the “don’t die on me” quote being applied to feature films from all through cinema history. As serious as some of these scenes are, I still find myself chuckling at the ridiculous nature of the line. See if you feel the same way.
