Cool Videos: Unseen auditions for The Office

Unlike many who started watching THE OFFICE from day one I kept watching even when the plot lines were boring and the jokes fell flat. There were gems here and there but something always kept me watching. I think I was always generally curious what would happen with the cast and where they would take it once it was time to let it go. While I may not agree on some of the choices made towards the end of the series or the length they let it go on, the final episode ended on a nice note for long time fans.

Now that it's all over, the ninth and final season is coming out on DVD September 9th. One of the extras you will get to see is the "unseen auditions" for the show featuring John Cho, Adam Scott, Eric Stonestreet, Bob Odenkirk, Seth Rogen, and Kathryn Hahn. I believe Scott, Mary Lynn Rajskub (Pam), and Odenkirk were originally set for the roles they auditioned for. As you can tell that didn't pan out. Definitely would have changed things up a little.

This was a cool little video. I could have easily seen Adam Scott playing Jim and doing a great job like Krasinski did with it.

Wow. Seth Rogan as Dwight. Not sure how I would've liked that for 9 seasons.

I'd love to see a show with Odenkirk as the boss, but not Michael, I feel like he'd bring a scumbag quality (and I mean that in the best way possible) as opposed to the dumb innocent nature Carrell brought.

Although Kathryn Hahn is totally deserving of a hit show, and this was a total gem to see, I wouldn't change a thing about the cast whatsoever :)

Great

I wouldn't change a thing with the original cast, but Hahn (who I've got the craziest crush on) and Scott would've been interesting to see. I like Rogen, but just no. I'm glad Odenkirk still got a small role in one of the final seasons as a Michael Scott-like boss it was great. Love these gem features.
