Cool Videos: What if Christopher Nolan directed The Incredibles

Just last week we got a look at the trailer for UP if it had been directed by Michael Bay. Using the all of the tricks, lens flares, and explosions the filmmaker is known for, the clip was a good one. Now, we have another mash-up, this time combining two of the best superhero films of all time: THE DARK KNIGHT and THE INCREDIBLES.

Imagining the Pixar classic as if it were helmed by Christopher Nolan may be the closest we will ever get to seeing what his vision for WATCHMEN may have looked like. It simultaneously looks like an amazing animated movie and a damn fine genre film. Hopefully someone will see this and see if they can somehow persuade Nolan to supervise an animated superhero movie.

Wow. I've never realized how much Syndrome evokes some of the characteristics of the Joker haha. Hilarious video...but I'm more than happy with how The Incredibles turned out. It's easily one of the best superhero movies ever, and certainly the best iteration of the Fantastic Four that we're likely to get for the time being.

It's just criminal that we haven't gotten a sequel to this yet, and they're giving shit like Planes! I still watch this from time to time, and still laugh at the same parts, the scene where Bob gets excited about Dash putting the tack on his teachers chair and the camera not catching him is absolutely priceless! Love the way they layer the scenes like that, so much going on. Just a great, fun flick, an absolute gem from when Pixar was on their A game, ya know!

This definitely was one of the few Pixar movies that naturally lent itself to a sequel...but they actually already announced a sequel for this earlier this year! I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it. Part of why Pixar hasn't exactly maintained their high quality of movies lately is because they became obsessed with sequels and prequels, rather than focusing on more outstanding original ideas. We'll see though!

But I completely agree, this movie never gets old for me. Bob's "retired"

But I completely agree, this movie never gets old for me. Bob's "retired" life working in the office is hilarious, Edna Mode is one of my favorite characters in all the Pixar movies, and the movie itself has such a great message. You said it best: it's an absolute gem.

Directed by Nolan? Don't think so.

It's a great fancut trailer, but it's not like it makes the movie look like one of Nolan's. It's just been cut in a way that imitates the original "Dark Knight" trailer. Which is damn cool by me!
