Could Charlie Sheen and other original cast members be back for Major League 4?

Could it be? Will Wild Thing come back for another MAJOR LEAGUE film?

Moviehole spoke with writer/director David S.Ward of the 1989 hit film who seemed to back up rumors of a sequel.

Ward confirms that there is a new film in the works with the script acting more like a MAJOR LEAGUE 3, “We’re actually talking about doing one right now. I’ve written, what I see, as Major League 3. We’re putting that together as we speak – in fact, next week I’m off to talk to James Robinson at Morgan Creek about it.” Ward had nothing to do with the third film, which did not perform as well as the first two.

The next film will bring Wild Thing out of retirement, “It’s 20 years later, and Wild Thing comes out of retirement to work with this 19-year-old player. We’ve actually got three new characters in the new film. And if the new film is popular, they could carry the franchise on.”

But will Charlie Sheen reprise his role? What about other cast members? Ward hopes to get Tom Berenger, Corbin Bernsen and even, Wesley Snipes back for the 4th film. The only person the director has spoken to is Sheen, “He’s excited to do it if and when it happens. But he can’t shoot it this year, because he’s back doing Two-and-a-Half Men, but we could potentially shoot it next year – in his hiatus from the show.”

I don’t know about anyone else, but if they brought back a lot of the original characters, I’d be pretty excited about this.
