CRAZY ON THE OUTSIDE is the directorial debut of Tim Allen. Well, aside from one episode of HOME IMPROVEMENT. The movie stars Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, Julie Bowen, J.K. Simmons, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Kelsey Grammer.

What sort of story might Allen want to direct you might ask? In CRAZY, Allen plays Tommy, who has just been released from jail after being locked up for three years. While trying to get his life together, obstacles keep getting in his way. Tommy's old partner (Ray Liotta) wants him to do another job, his sister (Sigourney Weaver) is smothering him, and he works as a burger flipping pirate.

I would be lying if I said this looked funny. The movie has a great cast, but unfortunately the writers, Judd Pillot & John Peaslee, pen scripts for shows like ACCORDING TO JIM and 8 SIMPLE RULES FOR DATING MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER. Both did some writing for JUST SHOOT ME, but that was only funny every great once in awhile.

Extra Tidbit: HEARTBREAKERS was the last movie Sigourney Weaver and Ray Liotta were in together. I actually liked that movie.

The shower bit made me giggle, but otherwise I can't really seem to get excited. But I WANT to be.

I've always liked Tim. Maybe it's because I am good as him at house renovation ;-)

I really like him too! This just did not do anything for me. I was really excited about the cast then just, nothing. Maybe it's just a crap trailer.
