Apparently Christmas came early for Naomi Klein because when she decided she wanted acclaimed director Alfonso Cuaron to write a foreword for her book ‘Shock Doctrine’, he said ‘nah, but how about a short film instead?’ I’m sure it didn’t go down exactly like that, but yeah, he and his son Jonas (who apparently directed the thing) put together a 6 minute piece about the subject that is now being shown at the Toronto Film Festival.
The concept discusses using natural and manmade catastrophes and society’s stunned response to them as a way to push through policies that benefit the rich. Check it out BELOW.
