Curses & bullets flow in the red-band trailer for The Hitman's Bodyguard

04.12.2017

Ryan Reynolds The Hitman's Bodyguard Samuel L. Jackson

If you've been anxiously awaiting an action-comedy in which Ryan Reynolds plays Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson plays Samuel L. Jackson, then look no further than THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD. The Patrick Hughes (THE EXPENDABLES 3) directed flick stars Reynolds as the world's top protection agent who is called upon to guard the life of one of the most notorious hitmen on the planet, who just so happens to be his mortal enemy. I smell a sitcom! Cover the ears of any children present and check out the red-band trailer for THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD below!

"I hope they kill him, I really do. This guy single-handedly ruined the word motherf**ker."

In addition to Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson, THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD also stars Gary Oldman as a "merciless Eastern European dictator" and Salma Hayek as the "equally notorious wife" of Samuel L. Jackson's character. Despite the pedigree of the cast, there's something a little...low-rent about this trailer, but I suppose there are worse ways to spend your time than watching Reynolds and Jackson yell at each other. Charisma certainly goes a long way.

The official synopsis for THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD:

The world’s top protection agent is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world’s most notorious hitmen. The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours. During their raucous and hilarious adventure from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades and a merciless Eastern European dictator who is out for blood.

THE HITMAN'S BODYGUARD is set for an August 18, 2017 release.
