D-War trailer

I don't have a clue what the hell is going on here, but I like it! Apparently, D-WAR is to be the next big Korean monster flick. And it looks like a ton of crazy, pointless fun. I loved THE HOST, so I'm all over this, even though I'm pretty sure the trailer makes absolutely no sense and the tanks look about as realistic as the ones you see in old Godzilla pieces. The film must have been intended for a wider audience, since it stars Jason Behr (ROSWELL), Robert Forster (JACKIE BROWN) and Amanda Brooks (FLIGHTPLAN). It will be opening in 1500 U.S. cinemas - the biggest opening of a Korean movie in North American ever. I wish OLDBOY had gotten this much respect. You can check out the trailer HERE.

And now the good stuff, to attempt to give some method to the madness: D-WAR is based on a Korean legend, of unknown creatures 'returning' (I don't know when they were here before) to devestate the planet. Reporter Ethan Kendrick (Behr) is called in to investigate, and he gets himself involved with a girl called Sarah (Brooks), while trying to save the city. I love how because this is a Korean flick, and THE HOST was good, this plot sounds intriguing. Imagine how you'd feel about that plot if you knew the director attached was Uwe Boll.
Extra Tidbit: 'D-WAR', is - I imagine - a shortening of the early title 'DRAGON WARS'.
