George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Scott Caan, Casey Affleck, Carl Reiner, Eddie JemisonShaobo Qin and Elliott Gould engaged in some highly lucrative heists over the course of OCEAN'S ELEVEN, OCEAN'S TWELVE and OCEAN'S THIRTEEN, but the time has arrived for a whole new team to pull off a brand-new heist. Production on OCEAN'S EIGHT got underway in New York in October, but there are still a few casting announcements to be had.

Variety has reported that Damian Lewis, who has been spotted on the set recently, has joined the cast of OCEAN'S EIGHT as the villain and target of the OCEAN'S EIGHT team. Sandra Bullock stars in the film as the leader of a group of thieves and cons who try to pull off a major heist. Damian Lewis' character is Bullock's ex-lover as well as the target of the gang's robbery. In addition to Bullock, the OCEAN'S EIGHT team also includes Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Awkwafina and Sarah Paulson. Although it had been reported that none of the original OCEAN'S cast would return in order to help OCEAN'S EIGHT stand on its own, it was later revealed that Matt Damon would be reprising his role of Linus Caldwell in the Gary Ross (THE HUNGER GAMES) flick.

OCEAN'S EIGHT will hit theaters on June 8, 2018.

A good tagline for this movie would be
"Oceans 11, minus the penis...but theirs still one penis"

HAD TO ...

... check on IMDb who the guy was, so much for that. Seriously, they could at least go with someone who is more high profile and who rarely plays villains like (insert your favorite).

Band of Brothers and Homeland aren't high profile enough for you? This guy is a great actor

He's your standard above average television actor who should be in movies, but will get a gig as a villain where he will be forgotten and his movie career over before it started, BUT, he'll be a staple on tv for years and years so im sure he wont be too dissapointed

Why not get a veteran like Linda Hamilton or Demi Moore as the villain?
This all female cast is lame to say the least too.

This is a cler cut example of how if you cast correctly, no one gives a shit about a "female reboot".

Ghostbusters suffered from ppl NOT liking Leslie Jones and her entire schtick of just yelling... i personally like McCarthy, but alot if ppl got sick of her "fat girl in a _____ situation" ... but when used right, like in Spy or St. Vincent, she is really something special (and to be fair she was solid in Ghostbusters)

This Ocean's movie has great actresses (with the exception of

This Ocean's movie has great actresses (with the exception of Rihanna and whatevwr that other chicks name is, the one with 1 name also, those 2 i am unsure about, but at the very least i have seen Rihanna in Battleship and as a voice in Home and know she can actually pull off different characters, the other girl, i know absolutely nothibg about, might be great)

Why would you do a female reboot, and not go the final yard to get a female villain. Unless Lewis is supposed to be more like Julia Roberts instead of Andy Garcia in this film.

So Daniel Ocean won't ne involved at all? Also convenient to start at 8... that leaves Oceans 9 and 10 available for sequel titles.

However this group of ladies is much preferable in talent to the Ghostbusters team. I would've gladly watched Care Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Sandra Bullock, and Helena Bonham Carter bust some Ghosts
