Daniel Craig will definitely saddle up for Cowboys & Aliens

The time to hesitate is through, Daniel Craig has officially closed the deal to star in COWBOYS & ALIENS.

Craig will take as the lead role of Zeke Jackson in an adaptation of Fred Van Lente's graphic novel. As you all know, Robert Downey Jr. was the first choice but opted out in order to do SHERLOCK HOLMES 2 for Guy Ritchie. If we can't have RDJ, I think Craig is a fine choice. Dare I say, he fits the part of Zeke a little more in my opinion.

Honestly, I'm pretty excited about this one. Getting to see Craig join forces with the Indians (which most likely won't be played by any real Native Americans) in order to kick a little alien ass. Then you've got Jon Favreau directing; Damon Lindelof, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci who wrote the screenplay. Now top that off with Brian Grazer producing with Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci to just to name a few.

If this project ends up being crap, I will officially make myself captain of the failboat, just sayin'.
