Darabont abides law

Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to watch Frank Darabont’s adaptation of Stephen King’s THE MIST because I’m horrified of insects and to my understanding, that movie features some big f*cking bugs. But I’m still a Darabont backer (THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION is one of my all-timers) so whatever he does will grab my interest. Screen Daily is reporting that Darabont is attached to direct LAW ABIDING CITIZEN, a thriller set to star Gerard Butler as prosecutor who confronts a criminal mastermind who controls an entire city from his prison cell. Darabont, after SHAWSHANK and THE GREEN MILE, seems bent on becoming the go-to director for prison movies.

"The Mist" is a must-watch film. It really shakes you to the core and then sucker punches you with its ending. Very powerful for a horror film.

theotherness

everyone is allowed to have their own opinions of course and I am not hating on you for not liking the Mist but were you hugged when you were a child?

I dont think I have ever heard anything ever positive from your posts.

The Mist was great and so was the ending. Did you want puppies and flowers in the ending? With children frolicking around the car singing the hills are alive?

Go get a hug

Hm; I thought ROAD WORK (still another King adaptation) was his next dish. Oh well - after the debacle that was THE MIST (I'm sorry, that ending just killed the film), maybe it's best if he keeps away from King from now on.
