I'll be honest, I zoned out of "Family Guy" a few years back due to the fact I'm super classy and watch "Mad Men" and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on Sundays now, but even I got a pretty good laugh out of this new trailer for the show's next STAR WARS special, the EMPIRE-spoofing SOMETHING, SOMETHING, SOMETHING, SOMETHING DARK SIDE. Wait, that was one too many SOMETHINGs.

I feel like "Family Guy" is at its best when doing stuff like this, rather than trying frantically to tie together an episode based on completely obscure and non sequitur references. I think when you just go all the way with it, you get better results, and I’d watch them remake any number of classics “in glorious 2D.”

I'll be first in line for this one! Family guy can do no wrong in my eyes. They have been consistently funny for years and proved they will do anything for the laugh, even if it dosent make sense. Blue harvest was awesome, I would expect nothing less from this one.

American Dad is better than FG
but people love crapping on it for no reason. Anyone who really thinks Simpsons is still the best is lying to themselves. PEople used to cry about season 11 on, but i yearn for those days. That show is truly over. Seth > Simpsons for years now, no question. Cleveland is funny too

Yeah I've tuned out of Family Guy for awhile.
But damn if I didn't love Blue Harvest...

OMFG! Can't Freakin' Wait!
Blue Harvest was hilarious and Something, Something, Something Dark Side looks even funnier! I hope they spoof the entire Star Wars Saga.

Say all you want that The Simpsons have lost their touch, but they are and will always be a step ahead of Family Guy, which would have to have started being funny at some point for them to have stopped.

Maybe it's just me...
...but I actually think this looks pretty goddamn funny! Of course FAMILY GUY isn't all intellectual and shit, but if you're a fan of goofy humor laced in pop culture, they're as fun as it gets, at least in my opinion. I had a blast with BLUE HARVEST and this follow-up looks just as stupid and hilarious...can't wait!
...but I actually think this looks pretty goddamn funny! That's great... the writers love "Star Wars", they grew up in the 70's and 80's, and they like pop-culture. Big fricking wow! How about actually... um... doing like "South Park" or "Simpsons" do and make a plot that isn't a bunch of references, cameos, and pop-up-video-moments from the past intangibly strewn together just to deliver a laugh.



Seth, your stuff has become tiresome. It's time to go after the last Family Guy "Star Wars"-spoof.

looks really funny! cant wait - and family guys episodes are still better then the simpsons. at least its less predictable then homer screwing up marge getting mad then forgiving said screw up and it happens again and again intersparsed with lisa and bart mirroring every other season they've ever been in. at least when peter does something to P- off lois she retaliates in some way.

the first 3 to 4 years of family guy was maybe, revolutionary comedy, now, its letting the simpsons own it...which being behind the better part of a decade or two, isnt a good thing....GO BACK TO ORIGINAL ART AND HUMOR PLEASE TODD

I have seriously gotten tired of Family Guy. I remember when it was funny.

It's good to know they've seen Star Wars. I have, too. Doesn't make the references any funnier.
