Daryl, Rick, and Carl of The Walking Dead get their own EW covers

07.17.2013

When I woke up this morning I saw Norman Reedus staring back at me. When I hopped on to Facebook, Reedus had posted the three WALKING DEAD character covers for Entertainment Weekly. There's Reedus as Daryl on his bike with his poncho hanging around his neck. The other two covers focus on father and son, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Carl(Chandler Riggs) respectively.

We don't learn much more about the upcoming season other than the fact that zombies aren't the only thing to worry about. New showrunner Scott M. Gimple offered this up, "The new threat is something you canít just stab in the face. You canít talk sense to it. You canít make a truce with it. Itís beyond all that. It would be a threat in any world, but in this world it is much more terrifying." Something weather related? A non-zombie related sickness?

You'll have to wait for answers until October when the fourth season debuts. I just need more Tyreese (Chad Coleman) in my life. Check out the covers below.

August 27th can't come soon enough!

Unfortunately I don't have cable and have yet to see the third season! Someone should slap me in the face for this blasphemy. But the day will come when I am all caught up, oh yes, it will come.

Agree with the following comments below. Andrea was one of the best in the graphic novel and she met a pitiful demise in the show. Also, I hated how Carl was played out in the first couple of seasons, but he's really adapting to be more of a bad ass as the show progresses.

Not sure why it was left out, but I read elsewhere that the new threat they're talking about is the weather. Not sure whether it could be drought or flooding or what, but combined with a renewed zombie threat, it should be interesting. As long as Season 4 makes up for the terrible ending of last season. Building up this huge war between the 2 groups....only for the actual fighting to last 5 minutes, the Governor's group runs away, he kills his entire following, and then drives off into the

Beyond lame. I can see that they were going for an optimistic, happy ending with the Woodbury people coming over to the prison, but come on. What an anticlimactic ending to what was shaping up to be the best season yet. That honor still goes to season 1, in my opinion.

I like Daryl just fine, but he never sounded like a hick. He has too much of an urban "wigger" accent, like he grew up in a city with lots of ethnic gangs. Doesn't anybody else hear it in his accent?

Daryl is easily the best character on the show. My second favorite overall after Shane.

I just hope season 4 is much more well written since the finale to season 3 was so disappointing.

Completely agree (apart from your Shane comment. I liked him at first, hated him when he turned into a douche, and then felt sad when he died. I'm a complicated man). I'm not sure you can even call that last episode of Season 3 a "finale." So underwhelming
