Robert De Niro, Kate Beckinsale, Drew Barrymore and Sam Rockwell have signed on to star in the upcoming drama EVERYBODY’S FINE for Miramax. The film is a remake of a 1991 Italian film titled STANNO TUTTI BENE about a widower who tries to reconnect with his grown children. De Niro would play the widower while Beckinsale, Barrymore and Rockwell would star as three of his five children. It’s kinda of shocking to see that De Niro could be playing the father of all those actors since he seems like a timeless kinda guy but he is 64, which makes it more than feasible to be their father. The movie will reteam Beckinsale and Rockwell who just starred in SNOW ANGELS (though it remains to be seen exactly how much screen time they’ll have together). FINE was written and will be directed by Kirk Jones (NANNY MCPHEE) with filming set to take place in Connecticut later this month. De Niro can be seen next busting bad guys alongside Al Pacino in RIGHTEOUS KILL.
