Paul Reubens has been threatening to slap on the gray suit and red bow tie for another go at the iconic Pee Wee Herman for a while now and the way he speaks about it in this MTV interview, he’s pretty determined to make it happen. In fact, he has two scripts rearing to go. One in which he ventures outside the Playhouse with all the friends we’ve come to know and the other “dark” story of Pee Wee’s rise to fame. However, by far the most interesting thing to come out of this interview is Reubens relating having spoken to JoBlo.com man-crush Johnny Depp about replacing him should he prove unable to reprise the role and Depp saying “Let me think about it.” Crazy? Or effing brilliant? You decide.
Depp does Pee Wee?
