Despite slow progress the Roger Rabbit sequel is still coming

10.29.2010by:

I had no clue that they still planned on doing a sequel to WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT.

The last time we even talked about this was Halloween of last year when it was announced that the original writers Jeffrey Price and Peter Seaman would come back to pen the sequel.

During the red carpet for the 25th anniversary of BACK TO THE FUTURE, MTV Movies Blog asked director Robert Zemeckis if Price and Seaman were still even writing the script, "That is correct, that is true. They're slow." Okay, so the screenplay isn't finished, but how is Zemeckis liking it so far? "It's great. Oh, it's going to be great. I think it's going to be great."

It's really great. Are you ready for the return of Roger, Jessica, and maybe Eddie Valiant?

Check out the video below to see the short interview with Zemeckis.

Extra Tidbit: What are you guys going as for Halloween? I'm dressing up as Zoey from Left 4 Dead.

A movie is good but what would be better is to have a series done that goes back to the early days of toon town and valiant n valiant before the events of who framed roger rabbit. Eventually the series can finale at where the movie began as eddie valiant broke after his last case tries to make some money by accepting a job from maroon.

This works only if they can get Disney, WB, MGM, etc to all contribute their animation properties again.

LOVE ROGER RABBIT...

So please don't screw this up, it'd be great if PIXAR handled the animation in the movie.

I'm game as long as they don't go with that stupid mo-cap idea they were shooting around when it was first announced.

Very surprised that they are still planning this. I welcome a second Roger Rabbit.

Bring back Eddie!!

Omg and if Chris Llyoyd returned that would be epic! I would love to see these guys. Maybe even if Chris voices the Judge as an all toon character this time...

I don't care how bad this is. I loved the last one when I was a kid and I am willing to give it a chance.

No

Again, it's one of those movies that should be sequel-less. Do something new Bob, please.

I don't understand why it takes decades to get one single sequel off the ground.
