Details and artwork from Rob Zombie’s crowd-sourced film 31

Today is a great day to be a fan of Rob Zombie; if you’re like me and have followed the musician-turned-director’s film career you will appreciate my excitement. He has shared details and officially announced his next feature, the Halloween-themed horror 31. The movie will be a crowd-sourced effort and if you’re in the giving mood there are some perks to go along with helping out the project.

Here is a message from Zombie which includes some plot details:

“Welcome to my next film. It is called 31, it is the story of five random people kidnapped on the five days leading up to Halloween and held hostage in a place called Murder World. While trapped inside this man-made Hell they must fight to survive playing the most violent game known to man… a game called 31.” And why he chose the crowd-source: “I’m crowd funding because I realize that it’s an incredible opportunity to engage the fans. They’ve always been the most important thing for me because, with metal and horror, the fans aren’t just fans – it’s their life, their lifestyle. They live and breathe it, as I do, and any way that you can bring the people that are as passionate about it as you are into the process is a win-win for everybody. Get on board! Get involved! Be part of this horrifying business! The world of horror needs you!”

Now check out the insane artwork!

We don’t talk a lot about horror on this end of Joblo.com (see AITH), so it’s important that when we do it’s worth the reader’s time. You likely came inside this story because you’re a fan or horror and or Rob Zombie; as mentioned before I fit into both categories. THE DEVIL'S REJECTS was probably the greatest time I’ve ever had at the movies; being surrounded by fans and watching something I’d call epic, and I hate using that word. I hope to hear more about 31 as it progresses and whether it’s here or on AITH we got you covered.
