DeVito in Glengarry?

There are a handful of great movies left that haven't been given the royal treatment on DVD yet.  The STAR WARS and INDIANA JONES trilogy are the obvious ones that come to mind.  GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS is another film that has somehow managed to avoid the format.  Will we finally get to see it on disc sometime soon?  That I can't answer you.  But, there may be an even cooler opportunity - see it LIVE.

You know what it takes to sell real estate?

That's right folks, the movie that started as a Pulitzer Prize winning play by David Mamet is returning to Broadway.  If that's not cool enough, Danny DeVito has signed on to play the role of Sheldon "The Machine" Levine made famous by the late Jack Lemmon.  And if that's not cool enough, producer Robert Cole is in talks with Al Pacino and Alec Baldwin to reprise their roles from the movie!  Imagine watching Alec Baldwin work his magic (where has that magic gone Alec?) and deliver classic lines like "Put that coffee down" live.  So much better than a DVD - although I'm not letting them off the hook on that.  A Special Edition DVD of GLENGARRY needs to happen and soon.  The revival will be directed by Daniel Sullivan who last directed "Proof" on Broadway.  GGR should hit the stage in 2003.
