Diablo movie in works?

What was probably the least productive period of my life happened when I was obsessed with Diablo II and would play LAN games with a bunch of my equally geeky friends in sixteen hour shifts. Hence, this news that a DIABLO movie is being prepped really peaks my interest. I don’t know how it could be done justice, but I’m totally there. The basic premise, for those of you who don’t know is that there is war between Heaven and Hell. Smack in the middle of this war, is the town of Tristram that is being ransacked by demons and it is the player’s goal to save the town. The playable characters are the ‘Warrior’, ‘Rogue’ and ‘Sorcerer’. I imagine a big screen adaptation would probably have to have all three of these characters fighting together.

What do you guys think? I think it’d be a pretty cool film, but it would take a crazy budget to do it right. Still, what do I know? Well I know that demons are always cool, and that computer game to movie adaptations are slightly preferable to movie to video game adaptations.
