I don't know about you but I've got a newfound appreciation for Kate Winslet. She does consistent work in everything she's in and when you think about the fact that she's only 32 and already has five Academy Award nominations...pretty impressive. Plus I think she's insanely beautiful and just a nice person to boot. Now I didn't really care much for TITANIC when it was a phenomenon and I care even less about it now. But Winslet will reteam with her TITANIC star Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time since co-starring in that whole biggest movie ever thing. The two have signed on to star in REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, which will be directed by Winslet's husband Sam Mendes (damn you Mendes!). The film, based on the novel by Richard Yates, will star the actors as a married couple in the 1950s who are frustrated with their lot in life (he a bored office drone, she a wanna-be actress housewife). They decide to move to France to fulfill their dreams only to wind up, well, not having such a great time (trying to stay spoiler free here). Mendes will star filming REVOLUTIONARY this summer for DreamWorks.
||Time Magazine recently named Yates' novel one of the best 100 novels of all-time.
