District 9 trailer!

After lots of waiting (the promo campaign for this movie began last year at Comic-Con), we finally have our first look at footage from the Peter Jackson produced DISTRICT 9.

The beginning of this new trailer is very similar, if not identical, to the footage we saw in ShoWest but where that veered off into explaining a little bit more about the plot. Sadly here an intriguing premise and a possibly cool money shot is pixelated. I understand what they were going for here (the alien is going on-record and his face is being covered to protect his identity) but why not give audiences a better look at our alien to better whet their appetite for this film? I’m still excited for it either way but I think a great “alien shot” at the end of this trailer would’ve sealed the deal.
