Do you want three Marvel movies a year? Another mystery movie set for 2018

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last week Marvel set dates for five new films through to 2019, I guess they were not done announcing release dates for UNTITLED. Today they have announced that May 4, 2018 will see yet another entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony had previously scheduled THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 4 for this new May 4th date, but obviously with the push given THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 earlier today, that’s a no go.

Marvel Studios already had mystery placeholders for films that will be released on July 8, 2016 (following a third CAPTAIN AMERICA film on May 6, 2016) and then another on May 5, 2017. Last week, they set July 28, 2017, November 3, 2017, July 6, 2018, November 2, 2018 and May 3, 2019 for UNTITLED.

Again, here’s one way to look at it:

What this means is, starting in 2017 we might be getting three Marvel movies a year! While the identities of the films are unknown, reports suggest that DOCTOR STRANGE, THOR 3 and THE AVENGERS 3 might fill the dates. It’s Comic-Con week, so I suspect we finally might get some answers.

In the meantime, are you team red or blue?
