Yesterday we got the vaguest piece of "news" surrounding the young Han Solo movie being put together as a STAR WARS standalone story for 2018 by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. A younger version of Lando Calrissian would be a part of the movie and is in the process of being cast. On a side note, here's a bit of breaking news for you, too – Lord and Miller are looking to cast someone to play a younger version of Chewbacca, so remember where you heard it first.

But, if you're going to report on a character just being in a movie, you'd better have some more information to go with it… and it appears Devin Faraci is to the rescue on that front. Per his sources, it would appear that Donald Glover is the top choice for the role.

Now that's a long way from that casting being a sure thing. There's no guarantee that Glover would jump at the role, and, with Lord and Miller sure to be looking everywhere for the right fit for this particular film, there's no guarantee they won't change their mind if they find someone they think works better for their prequel version of the character. It just means that right now, in a perfect world, for them, Glover would be their guy.

Something to keep an eye on – and don't worry… We shall. But at least now you get a little bit of an idea of where heads are at with Alden Ehrenreich already in place.
