UPDATE: The studio asked us to remove these pics from our website, and we have complied.
We had an operative stashed inside the production of the action adventure DRAGONBALL, the feature adaptation of the popular anime of the same name, and today, said operative delivered. We have our first real glimpse into the aesthetic of the film. There's even a couple pics of a quite in cognito Emmy Rossum.
Here's a little plot summary for you to chew on: "A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world."Justin Chatwin stars as Goku with Yun-Fat Chow as Roshi, the aforementioned Rossum as Bulma and James Marsters as the nefarious Piccolo. It's set for release April 3rd of next year.

Extra Tidbit: Star Chatwin apparently didn't have to put on a crazy wig to resemble that of his anime counterpart as director James Wong felt his hair was already kinda nutty.

I'm glad I am not the only person who saw that...
I'm glad I am not the only person who saw that abomination Fist of the North Star movie, i'm a hardcore fan FOTNS and the film pissed me of so much and Speed Racer too but thats another story. I mean how hard is it to make a FOTHS film it basic story is like THE ROAD WARRIOR!!!!! DO UNDERSTAND HOLLYWOOD, THE ROAD WARRIOR!!!! Fuck hollywood, and you can tell how they don't care about the japanese fans, let alone cast a bunch of chinese actors in the roles with americans.

Who knows? It could be as awesomely bad as the Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat movies. They don't have any real value as movies, but they sure as hell are fun at parties.

I think Dragon Ball can't really make into the movie.
And none of those pictures look very futuristic at all. it look cheap.

It seems that they are trying very hard to keep the feel of the Anime intact and I give them brownie points for that.
