If you were wondering why we haven't seen the next OLD SCHOOL/HANGOVER clone yet, well, wonder no more! From the aformentioned writer of those two films, Scot Armstrong, comes the trailer for his directorial debut that looks to take the ingredients of those films and throw 'em in a blender. SEARCH PARTY follows a pair of friends who must embark on a mission to reunite their pal with the woman he was going to marry. The only issue is that this friend has been kidnapped in Mexico. Cue R-rated shenanery!
T.J. Miller and Thomas Middleditch proved to be a pretty good match on HBO's Silicon Valley, although Adam Pally seems to be the odd man out. In a film where the ensemble is everything, that doesn't exactly bode well. Frankly, I would rather just watch Miller and Jason Matzoukas have a dinner conversation than this flick. Seriously, how has no one given Mantzoukas a meaty role in a film, yet? The dude KILLS on The League!
SEARCH PARTY will hit theaters in the U.S. sometime in 2015.
