Dwayne Johnson closes out the Hercules: The Thracian Wars shoot with two final set pics

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Dwayne Johnson has kept the Twitter machine alive throughout his shoot for director Brett Ratner‘s HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS and this past week principal photography wrapped on the comic book adaptation. To top off the finale, Johnson tweeted two final pics, each of them a bit more revealing than the little teases he’s given thus far, including a profile shot of the actor in his Hercules “Lionhead” garb, while standing inside a similarly-themed chariot. The other pic features a back shot of the star wielding a club and facing down some opponents at the bottom of a staircase, which harkens back to the ending of CONAN THE BARBARIAN. Some cool shots to finish off the shoot.

Take a look:

We recently got a look at director Renny Harlin‘s competing project with the trailer to his HERCULES: THE LEGEND BEGINS, which was met with less than enthusiastic responses from many of you and I’m thinking that the simple presence of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the titular character will be more than enough to sway folks in favor of this version. Brett Ratner doesn’t fare as well in the rep department, but in this case I think Johnson has enough clout to do the heavy lifting.

HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS hits theaters on July 25, 2014.
