Eclipse begins! | Movie News
Today Summit Entertainment has announced that production has begun on the third story in the TWILIGHT series, ECLIPSE. Don't jump out of your chairs at once...
NEW MOON hasn't even come out yet, and they are already jumping all over another movie. There should really be no issue with this film though, because they have David Slade directing. Slade who has directed 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, HARD CANDY, and numerous music videos, pissed off Twi-fans in May with comments on Twitter, "'Twilight' drunk? No, not even drunk.'Twilight' on acid? No, not even on acid? 'Twilight' at gunpoint? Just shoot me.” Later Slade retracted these comments saying, "Of course, I have since seen the movie and read the books and was quickly consumed with the rich storytelling and the beautifully honest characters that Stephenie Meyer created." Now, I can't tell you if he really meant that or if money makes people say funny things, but it is what it is.
I don't want to give away the plot for those of you that actually want to see the movie because it will spoil it for you. But I will say expect more teenage angst, shirtless man boys, and well, everything else you would expect from a TWILIGHT movie.
Oh, and there may be one thing that makes you interested, the casting of Leah Clearwater, the female wolf played by Julia Jones. Of course, only if you are mesmerized by hot women.
Extra Tidbit: Slade directed the uber creepy Aphex Twin video for "Donkey Rhubarb". Who am I kidding?! They're all creepy.

From 30 Days of Night to Twilight? What is he thinking? A graphically violent film about Vampires followed by a stupid teenage romance with vampires. There is no way this is a good idea on his part. You sold out, David Slade. At least you will have an audience of teenage girls to support your upcoming flick. I think you just lost a man card (or at least some balls).
