Ten disc/eight film Tarantino Blu-ray box set hitting stores complete with Mondo art!

Sep. 17, 2012by: Alex Maidy

Looks like seeing DJANGO UNCHAINED in theaters is not the only Tarantino Christmas present we will be getting this year. Lionsgate is releasing a Blu-ray box set of films written and/or directed by QT himself.

The box set, titled TARANTINO XX, features eight films: RESERVOIR DOGS, PULP FICTION, KILL BILL PART 1 and 2, TRUE ROMANCE (Tony Scott directed, Tarantino wrote the screenplay), DEATH PROOF, JACKIE BROWN, and INGLORIOUS BASTERDS. The set will also feature brand new features on Tarantino's late editor Sally Menke, a retrospective on his career, and analysis from critics. The set will be released on November 20th.

If that is not enough, the set comes with badass art courtesy of Mondo. If this is not a set worth owning, I don't know what is. It appears that these are the same Blu-ray editions of the films that are currently available, but the additional 2 discs of features are brand new. The full set will run you $119.99, but definitely worth the money if you don't already own these on Blu-ray.

Check out the cover art below (click to see it much bigger).

Extra Tidbit: The only thing that would have made this set better would have been if it included KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR.

If it had Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair and the original theatrical version of 'Grindhouse' I'd consider this a must-buy.

Might still make the plunge, but its only a 7 or 8 on my wallet-draining nerdgasm scale.

Considering I only own two of these movies, Inglorious Basterds and Pulp Fiction, makes this a must own for me. I've been looking for a good excuse to add these other flicks to my collection.

Could've shoved Natural Born Killers in there too. It's a nice set, but fans of Tarantino will already have at least one copy of all of these films.

Hell yeah i would definitely buy that since the only QT movie I have on blu ray is Inglourious Basterds.

No comprende....

why we never got a DVD release combining the two Kill Bills. Now it certainly looks like that will never happen. But this set does look great.

Looks very cool, but guessing special features won't be anything all that great judging by the dvd releases from Tarantino, with True romance being an exception
