UPDATED: Added a second clip with Gwen and Peter being cute.

Im good with the amount of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Ive seen thus far. Its a superhero film so theyve already got me there. I liked the first one alright so Im willing to give this one a go.

The first official clip from the film is actually a pretty cool one. Here we have Spider-Man trying to save Electro from getting shot at by the NYPD. At this point we know that the hero has some sort of relationship with the baddie who is on the hinge of being a baddie. Gwen Stacy pushes her way through the crowd showing concern for her webslinger.

Check it out below. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

Overload

I worry this is going to be another case of clip overload, and that very little is going to be left of the movie we haven't seen. Same applies for the number of baddies. Electro, Goblin and Rhino? Really?

I am starting to get a good feeling about this movie

I wasn't a big fan of the first, but the more I hear and see about this thing, I am starting to warm up to it. I like that Webb is straying away from the "grounded" approach of the first film. This is about a kid who has spider powers who swings building to building that fights a dude who is made of electricity. This isn't Batman, you can't ground that in anyway. I think it is going to be a well acted story that is going to end with a bang and set up a fascinating new series with the

That was a nicely edited, acted and scored scene.

I wonder what part of the film this fight happens. Because as previously said in the article above, Electro doesn't seem to be all on villain mode yet. So perhaps the middle of the film is my best guess.
