Tim Burton regular and former Boingo frontman Danny Elfman is bringing his musical gifts and shocking red hair to the scorched future. Hope he’s wearing appropriate SPF.
Elfman is composing the score for McG’s TERMINATOR SALVATION, adding yet another famous franchise to a résumé that already includes familiar faces like Batman and Spider-Man.
Elfman has reportedly just started working on the music, and when asked by MTV as to whether Brad Fiedel’s original theme stomp would be included, he said: “I think if it comes up and it seems appropriate, we will [use it]. And if it doesn’t, we [won’t]. I never really know what to expect when I begin other than just kind of get into it and have fun.”
It should be interesting to hear what Elfman’s diverse style can bring to the film. He had a busy 2008, putting sounds on HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, WANTED and MILK.
