Crypt TV Eli Roth Slice of Summer Chiller

Crypt TV, Eli Roth and Jack Davis' online horror brand that has been making waves on Snapchat, is bringing their bite size brand of theater to Chiller.

Entitled Slice of Summer, the series will be a short film block that airs on July 29th at 9 PM. A showcase for international filmmakers, this series will be the first time Crypt TV has actually put anything out on television, which proves that Snapchat hasn't totally superceded actual traditional broadcast media.

Here are the details on the short films that will be featured in the block:

"The Prey" (James Webber): A beautiful succubus (pictured above) finds herself trapped in an alley with an attacker. Little does he know, her appetite for human flesh must be satiated by any means.

"The Grey Matter" (The McCoubrey Brothers): a sci-fi short that follows an office stiff who wakes up in an alley covered in blood. Following the mysterious incident, he attracts the attention of his beautiful coworker. While this grants him a new lease on life, there’s something not right with the situation.

"The Thing in the Apartment" (John William Ross): This short film centers around two friends who discover something lurking in an apartment.

"Meridians" (Blake Rice): The short follows a masseuse with deep ties to the virtual black market who preys on her clients to supply buyers on the dark web with the disturbing goods they seek.

"Invaders" (Jason Kupfer): Two unprofessional thieves get more than they bargained for when they break into a house and face its owner.

Short films are a storytelling medium that is difficult to distribute, so if Slice of Summer is successful, it might actually open the door for a lot of similar programming, which is always a good thing.
