Evans as Lee

Throughout the filming of his graphic novel adaptation SCOTT PILGRIM VS THE WORLD, director Edgar Wright has been consistently releasing character images on his blog; a technique that has only served to build anticipation for his film.

In case you're unfamiliar with the story, it centers on Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera), who must battle his new girlfriend's seven evil ex-boyfriends in order to win her heart. One of her ex-boyfriends is Lucas Lee (Chris Evans), a pro-skateboarder turned self-absorbed movie star who in the graphic novel seems to be a parody of Luke Wilson. Based on the new image released by Wright however--which features promotional material from some of Lee's big budget films--Lee seems to be more of a "Chris Evans" type, than look a "Luke Wilson". Makes sense, I guess.

Extra Tidbit: Can Edgar Wright possibly mess this up?

A rom-com is simplyfying it a bit. The book, while being that as well, also has movie, video game and comic book references galore, superhuman fights, odd ball (and funny) characters, among other things. It seems like a lot but the book makes it work greatly together.

I think Wright will get a great adaption done. Hell, he got the book's writer to help write the script. They talked to so much, to the point of where some bits of Wright's lines and refrences snuck into the newest book. Bryan

@ jojothewonderdo

Because it's Edgar Wright.

It isnt his first Rom-Com, but it is his first without Zombies though.

I know its Edgar Wright, but as a 25 year old male, why should I be excited about what essentially seems to be a rom-com?

This is shaping up to be great. I like what I've been seeing.

Extra Tidbit: Can Wright mess this up? Doubt it.
