Ewan McGregor and Eva Green fall in love as the world falls apart in the trailer for Perfect Sense

The brand new trailer for the David Mackenzie romantic drama PERFECT SENSE is beautiful, heartfelt, and yet completely enigmatic. Ewan McGregor and the gorgeous Eva Green co-star in a film that appears to be nothing more than a raw and emotionally charged film about two people falling in love. But all throughout the second half of the trailer, there is a certain element that cryptically hovers over the entire proceedings. But what exactly? Here's MTV with more:

"Green plays Susan, an epidemiologist recently out of a relationship gone sour; McGregor is Michael, the charismatic chef who sweeps Susan off her feet and shows her that not all guys are a-holes. Sounds swell, right? And it would be except for one tiny problem: At the same time Susan and Michael are falling for each other, a global pandemic is threatening to change the face of humanity forever."

MTV's description then continues on into spoiler territory, so I won't include it here. But simply judging from the great-looking trailer, the film certainly looks like one to look out for this year.

PERFECT SENSE will be making its premiere on January 24th at the Sundance Film Festival.

Plot synopsis is intriguing. Cast is great. I'm trying to think of a word to describe that trailer and what I'm coming up with is: haunting.

Beautiful music, stunning images, and just plain captivating.

Looking at the picture up top and all I can say is that Eva Green really does have a beautiful smile. Plus she's a great actress. She's been greatly underutilized by Hollywood and hopefully this is the beginning of her return.

BTW, cool to see Bremner in this. Sort of a Trainspotting

P.S. Here's the poster [link] I have to say, everything about this movie has just captured my interest. I love how the two faces join to form one. The lips are joined and you only see one eye for each of them. Very simple yet eerie.

Iv'e been looking forward to this for a while. Shot in my current home city Glasgow for a moderately low budget I believe. McGregor and Green seem to have good chemistry here so the whole thing looks like a solid, palpable drama to me.

I honestly really love these serious, somber, dramatic films. I wish I had more of these to look forward to. And what blows is that most of the time they only get limited releases and then you get horseshit like Piranha 3D with an epic national release. I seriously don't get it. If its the serious films that get revered during Oscar season, why don't they make more money and get wider releases? Hollywood remains to be an enigma...
