EW's TDK cover

07.04.2008
Today's THE DARK KNIGHT news involves a magazine cover that Entertainment Weekly is running for its latest issue. You can check out the cover-story HERE. And yeah it's cool, because you know, it's Batman. But the real issue here is whether or not you will be able to find joy in anything after seeing this movie. I read somewhere that members of the test audiences have lapsed into states of complete disinterest in all things. One guy I heard went home after the screening and when his girlfriend and her twin-sister offered him a joint blowjob, he thought back to one of the scenes with The Joker and he was just like "eh... if you want..."

Extra Tidbit: THE DARK KNIGHT is actually the sequel to the movie BATMAN BEGINS.

oh yeah

and we all know when Star Trek viral marketing starts (its JJ, viral is a given) the same assholes will get really into that then complain about THAT movie. Viral marketing was fun, until they released entire movies through it.

people who like viral

People who are really into the viral marketing are gonna be those fuckers who say the movie sucked and complain that they saw too much in the trailers and shit. Well, fuck you! No one is forcing you to peek into the viral crap, I take the odd peak for excitement, but the people who are really into it are going to end up complaining about it. Fuckers.

In an irony the Joker would appreciate, Heath Ledger's last film is about to be the biggest hit of his life.

sad stufff there

awesome

it looks sick. Yeah, ayestrain, really? I mean, a new picture of the joker would only require them to bring heath ledger back from the dead. So yeah... I think the "photoshopped shit" was the only option.

Cool Cover

I agree, marketing for this movie has been non-stop. I try and avoid viewing too much b/c I want to be surprised at the theater. And yeah, I kinda do miss katie holmes, begins was the best she's done in movies.

I Don't

I certainly don't miss Katie Holmes, she was the worst part of the first film. The movie still doesn't come out for a couple of weeks, I hope the viral marketing stops, I feel like I have seen half the film already

RE: CMW21186

Yeah, I definitely feel the same way too. The marketing effort has gone a little bit overboard. At this moment, they've probably released their 100th trailer for the film.

NO VIRAL FOR ME

I haven't looked at any of the viral stuff. When i see a movie, I don't want the initial impact ruined by having seen so much already. BDW -Kick Ass Cover !

Quick Question:

Does anybody else feel like they're being robbed by all the viral campaigning that's being done for this movie? I feel as though I've seen so many different trailers for it and caught so much of the hype that it might diminish my experience on opening night. I love Batman in all of his incarnations and I'm totally going to see TDK, but is all of the campaiging that necessary for a film that would have already been the most anticipated flick of the decade?

The Dark Knight in small doses, however, can do wonders for people. My aunt caught a behind-the-scenes on Heath Ledger as the Joker and it cured her diabetes. My grandparents watched the first fifteen minutes and it rejuvenated their sex lives far better than Viagra ever could.

I DON'T CET...

...blowjobs often enough to justify ever treating them with indifference. Now, if I could get a blowjob DURING The Dark Knight, then I could die blissfully happy.
