Strike Back below!
by: Mike Sampson Sep. 8, 2008

Last week I rambled incoherently about my tangential relationship to Bruce Springsteen and how I was looking forward to the new song he had written to close Darren Aronofsky's THE WRESTLER. Well a kind JoBlo reader saw that article and was kind enough to send me an mp3 of Bruce's new song from the film to share with you! It's taped from a screening of THE WRESTLER so it's not CD quality but it's good enough to give you a feel of a) Bruce's song and b) the movie. And it's nothing like "Streets of Philadelphia," which is a good thing. Take a listen to "The Wrestler" below (using the fancy Google mp3 player) and let us know below what you think in the Strike Backs...

The first concert I went to was "The Boss". I just turned 7 and my mom took me for my birthday. It ruled!

This is why I love The Boss, the song is great, haunting, beautiful and the kind of song only Springsteen can write. I'm so stoked for this movie it's not even funny.

And Mike, it sucks never having seen him live as for some unknown reason he never plays Scotland when he tours the UK. God knows what we've done to offend him
