Exclusive: Our Top 10 Movie Trailers of 2013 Video Edition!

Dec. 30, 2013by: Paul Shirey

Another year of movies is down the pipe and while we already provided a nice look back with our Top Ten Trailers of 2013 write-up, we decided to go it one further and do a neat and tidy video wrap up to share the love we had for our favorite trailers of the year. Shit, you could argue that that trailers are more anticipated than the actual movies (and oftentimes are better than the movie itself) and we have no doubt that 2014 will bring us a cavalcade of trailer coolness, but before we get to that point, let's take one more look back at the badassery that was 2013's sweetest marketing tool.

Man Of Steel's trailer along with X - Men: Days Of Future Past were my fav's of the year.

The Avengers Age Of Ultron is my most anticipated next year! Can't wait. c|:^{D~
Along with Batman V.S. Superman or whatever you want to call it.
Not to mention a possible Star Wars trailer before The Hobbit.
Ohh and the Guardians Of The Galaxy trailer.

Meh

Aside from Fast and Furious 6, The World's End, Man of Steel and Gravity, this is an absolutely terrible list. Most of these were really obscure. A lot of art house and horror. There were a ton of trailers that were way better. (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Pacific Rim, Star Trek Into Darkness, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Anchorman 2, just to name a few.)

To each his own I suppose. You seem to be more of a fan of superhero and sci-fi (which is fantastic), whereas I tend to view films as encompassing every genre equally and rate their trailers on an even playing field. I loved each of those movies you listed, but didn't necessarily feel the trailers were in the top ten of the hundreds of trailers released in 2013. If we were talking top 15 or 20, those would all make that list for sure. Good feedback though!
