Exclusive: A look at Haywire's butt-kicking babe Mallory Kane!

Jan. 13, 2012by: Mike Sampson

January is usually the month reserved for movies that aren't, well, any good. Which is why I'm doubly looking forward to Steven Soderbergh's HAYWIRE. Friend Jordan Hoffman already called the film the first great superhero movie of 2012, and judging from what I've seen, it looks like Gina Carano, as Mallory Kane, might be able to take Black Widow in a fight. (Let that visual sink in for just a second...)

Today we've got an exclusive "character dossier" on Mallory Kane, giving you a little background into the film's main character. As I'm sure you've seen, she kicks some unholy ass, but who exactly is she? Check out the video below (is there anyone who looks this good firing an automatic weapon?) and remember to check out HAYWIRE in theaters next Friday!

I remember seeing Gina Carano in a fitness magazine years ago when she was a up and coming fighter. I couldn't believe a woman that badass could be that incredibly beautiful. I'm so glad to see her get in to film. She could be the top female action star easy. Better than scrawny ass Angelina(does anyone buy that she's tough?).

Tough? Yes. Physically strong? Not so much.

I think her fights look really, really great in this.
PS: What's with people refering to everything as "a superhero movie" lately? It's an action movie. She's an action hero. Lets not over think it.

The fight scenes I've seen so far look incredibly realistic and well done. She looks not only super hot but incredibly badass.

Joblo

I would like to thank joblo.com for making this "exclusive" video virtually impossible to watch thanks to the not one but TWO simultaneous trailers playing at the top of the page for 'Contraband'. Seriously? Two trailers playing at the same time for the same film on a single page? In addition to the sprawl of adverts taking up the whole page on either side of the article? Jesus.

I like this site, like the writers and the content, but how much of this crap is enough? This has been going on

I like this site, like the writers and the content, but how much of this crap is enough? This has been going on for a long time and I see others complain about it too. I know it is my right not to come back and no one makes me, but I enjoy the site and the incessant ad placement is ruining what I believe to be a good movie site. You may now return to not giving a shit.

Neither of the ads playing simultaneously at the top of the screen have an 'X' to click, and even if they did I shouldn't have to do that on every single page I access. The other trailer that plays when you 'rollover' the above trailer does have an 'X' to click. I can't picture imagine a site designer that looked at this and thought it was a good idea. Shit looks like the nadir of MySpace.

If every user would be like Balgaroo, there wouldn't be any free sites like this one here. Oh well, those kids never will get it.
What's so hard about just clicking on a big "X" by the way to close an ad you don't want to see?

Running Firefox. Thanks for the tip. Wont a flashblock extension not disable flash for all sites?

Man, get an add block and flash block extension for your browser. Problem solved. Unless your running Internet Explorer in which case enjoy all the adds.
