Exclusive clip from Joel Edgerton-starring psychological thriller Wish You Were Here

We're big Joel Edgerton fans here on AITH so anytime he's involved in a film we perk up and take notice. From his strong work in ANIMAL KINGDOM and THE SQUARE to his portrayal of teacher-turned-MMA fighter Brendan in WARRIOR, the guy always seems to deliver top-notch performances. And whatever your thoughts on 2011's premake THE THING are, you can't deny that Edgerton was one of the best things about that film. That's why we're stoked about the upcoming psychological thriller WISH YOU WERE HERE, which kicked off the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at Sundance earlier this year to rave reviews, as it gives Edgerton another meaty role to chew into.

Today we have an EXCLUSIVE clip from Kieran Darcy-Smith's suspenseful first feature about the aftermath of a Southeast Asian vacation turned ugly, featuring Edgerton's Dave and his onscreen wife Alice (played by Felicity Price) engaging in a little bedroom conversation. Check it out below.

Four friends indulge in a carefree Cambodian holiday, but their sun-soaked retreat quickly takes a horrific turn when one of the travelers disappears.  As the search ensues, the others return home, racked with guilt and struggling to return to their daily lives.  Does one of them hold the answer to the fate of their lost companion? Tightly-held secrets from their life-altering trip are brought to light, revealing clues to the whereabouts of their missing friend.

I wish June 7th was here as that is the date that WISH YOU WERE HERE hits limited theaters. The film stars Edgerton, Teresa Palmer, Felicity Price (who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside director Darcy-Smith) and Antony Starr.
