Exclusive Interview: Rihanna, Steve Martin and Jim Parsons talk Home!

Rihanna, Steve Martin and Jim Parsons, all together in the same room. I don’t think I could’ve ever conceived of such an odd coupling, but as luck – and Dreamworks – would have it, I encountered all three at the same time just last week. Being a fan of each, I couldn’t have asked for a more fortuitous circumstance. The group was together for HOME, the cute new animated feature about the friendship between a goofy alien (Parsons) and a street-smart human (Rihanna) after the former’s species (led by an incompetent boob voiced by Martin) takes over Earth. This is certainly the most unorthodox alien invasion movie seen in many a moon.

I spoke to the trio about their working relationships, the design of their characters, the film’s soundtrack and a possible sequel!
