Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Last weekend, Blumhouse and Leigh Whannell’s sci-fi horror-action flick UPGRADE starring Logan Marshall-Green, Rosco Campbell, Richard Cawthorne, and Betty Gabriel hit theaters. It took in a (relatively) impressive opening weekend total of $4.6 million and currently holds a fresh 86% over on Rotten Tomatoes.

And if you missed the film last weekend, no worries as you have the chance to check up on all the hyper-violent mayhem tonight as the movie is now playing in theaters near you. And to get you ready for your first (or second) viewing of the film, today we have an all-new exclusive featurette for the film which follows Green’s character who:

After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure – an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM – gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead.

The exclusive featurette is called “Inspiration” and as you can imagine it features writer-director Leigh Whannell talking about where his inspirations for the film came from. These films include TOTAL RECALL, THE FLY, ROBOCOP, and THE TERMINATOR. Check out the featurette below and then make sure to check out Blumhouse and Leigh Whannell’s UPGRADE in theaters this weekend!
