Exclusive: Scott Adkins administers a beatdown in this clip from Close Range

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

If you've never heard of Scott Adkins before, that's a shame, because the man definitely knows how to kick some ass. Although much of his filmography consists of direct-to-video fare, it'd be a mistake to write them off as films like UNDISPUTED III: REDEMPTION, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING, and NINJA 2: SHADOW OF A TEAR offer some of the best most hard hitting action in recent years. Adkins' latest film, CLOSE RANGE, follows Colton MacReady (Scott Adkins) as he faces off against a powerful drug cartel in order to save his family.

We've got an exclusive clip from CLOSE RANGE for you, check it out below!

The clip may only be a minute and change, but it's incredibly refreshing to see something where you can actually follow the action and keep track of the combatants. So many action films seem to hide their action behind quick cuts and hard to follow choreography, but when you have such talented individuals showing off their ass-kicking abilities, why would you ever want to obscure that?

A synopsis for CLOSE RANGE:

After rescuing his kidnapped niece from a powerful drug cartel, Colton MacReady (Scott Adkins) begins a relentless fight to save his family. The cartel has descended upon his secluded ranch with a thirst for revenge. In tow are a corrupt local sheriff and his crew of deputies, ensuring that help won’t be coming any time soon. What ensues is a non-stop assault on the ranch, a blow-by-blow survival marathon for Colton to protect his loved ones and save his life.

CLOSE RANGE will be available on VOD and iTunes on December 4, 2015 and will be released to theaters on December 11, 2015.
