Exclusive: Taylor Kitsch declares war on Michael Shannon in Waco clip

02.13.2018

Today we have an exclusive clip from WACO, the six-episode TV mini-series created by Drew and John Erick Dowdle. In the show, the FBI and ATF seize religious leader David Koresh's Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas in the spring of 1993.

According to The Washington Post, between February 28 and April 19, 1993, law enforcement officials believed that the Branch Davidian cult, led by self-proclaimed second Messiah David Koresh, had been stockpiling weapons for malicious reasons, and a February raid left six of his followers and four ATF agents dead. The ensuing 51-day standoff had a fiery end after the FBI pumped military-grade tear gas into the building.

As the above clip plays on, we find Kitsch's David Koresh threatening Shannon's Gary Noesner with a declaration of war, if the group is not left to carry out their mission. It's a rather intense scene that aims to paint a true-to-life picture of what it was like to be a fly on the wall during the Waco crisis.

The mini-series is executive produced by David Glasser, Michael ShannonTaylor Kitsch, Salvatore Stabile, John Erick Dowdle, and Drew Dowdle, and launched its premiere episode on January 24th courtesy of the Paramount Network.
