Exclusive: The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 video game trailer!

May. 31, 2011by: Mike Sampson

EA and Warner Bros. Interactive are determined to send Harry Potter out with a bang. For the last video game based off the HARRY POTTER film franchise, the developers are pulling out all the stops for HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2. The team took some of the criticisms from the last game and are determined to make the next and final game, the best yet.

In addition to being compatible with PlayStation Move, you can now play as eight heroes from the series! Ron, Hermione, Neville, Seamus, Ginny, Molly and Professor McGonagall have all been added as playable characters for the first time in the game's history. (Rumor has it another big character is unlockable but I won't ruin that surprise here...)

Today we've got an exclusive look at the trailer for the game, which gives you a first look at gameplay footage of the new wizards in battle (plus an epic shot of Harry finally going toe-to-toe with Voldemort)!

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2 hits Xbox 360, PlayStation3, Wii, Nintendo DS and PC in July 2011.

Too Bad

All the HP games suck balls. I'm sure this one will too.
Although the Lego HP game was sweet but all the Lego games are good so I don't count it.

looks like someone's been playing INFAMOUS

lol, game has a 90% chance of sucking -- especially with these devs. But even if it's mediocre I'm sure the harcore Potter fans will dig it - just like I'll dig the inevitably mediocre Dark of the Moon game lol

I get the feeling, many years from now, we'll start getting games again about the Wizarding world, unrelated from the 7 books/films. Kinda like how Arkham Asylum is a Batman story all on its own with only some relation to Batman products to come before it. (Mainly the voice cast). Maybe then there'll be some games related to the Harry Potter-verse I could give a damn about.

VERY possible! I mean hell look, they're still making Lord of the Rings games. Granted most of them still suck, but every now and then there's a good new one!!

Same thing happened for The Matrix. I'm sure many of you played Enter the Matrix and were like 'meh', but then years later, after the films, they released the AWESOME Matrix: Path of Neo
