Fascinating! I didn't know any of this.

My thoughts:
That's so cool that they improvised that scene after the bookcase fell! I had no idea that wasn't supposed to happen.

Although at this point I can't imagine anyone else playing either Peter or Egon other than Murray and Ramis, I do think Keaton would have been great too. Natural comedic talent with a lot of diversity. He's a good "everyman." I wonder if he regretted turning down those roles?

That's funny that Goldblum was considered to play Egon. I remember back then I used to get he and Ramis mixed up and kept thinking it WAS Goldblum in the movie. For years I got them mixed up.

John Candy no no no. I never liked him much and those suggestions of his were stupid. Eddie Murphy YES! He's one of my favorites so I'd have loved to see him in this. Ernie was great though.
