Strike Back below!
by: Mike Sampson Jan. 15, 2009

Summit Entertainment has released a three-minute clip from their upcoming superhero action flick PUSH that I think is one of the best advertisements for the film yet. It's a brisk and effective fight scene that gives you an idea what you're in for when you see the movies. Chris Evans was pretty much the only good thing about the FANTASTIC FOUR movies and here he's back trying his hand at a different kind of superhero. Check out the clip below to see how well he does against Djimon Hounsou and his goon... PUSH hits theaters on

Screw the haters!
This looks alright by me! After watching a summer of crap and disappointment, I look forward to it. Atleast its not being overhyped, so if it does suck, I didn't expect much. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is Dakota Fanning! They should replace all her scenes with images of Salma Hayeks BOOBS! That'll be worth admission!! If Tyler Durden can do it in Fight Club then it can be done!

I'm highly anticipating this movie
I refuse to watch this clip, since I don't want to see too much of this movie before I see it in theaters. I'm really looking forward to this movie and I won't let any of these comments dissuade me. Since, people scoff at everything these days, and seem to take more enjoyment from hating on movies then actually going to see them and appreciating them.

At least this movie will...

At least this movie will probably have a fun tone, unlike the movie you all worship, The Dark Knight, which took itself so seriously despite the completely implausible and ridiculous writing.

And why is it that sci-fi movies don't interest a lot of you these days unless they have popular comic book characters in them? Is there no room for something new?

If the original Star Wars trilogy was coming out now, you'd probably be knocking it because of THE FORCE, and the fact that no Marvel or DC characters were in it.

If you genuinely think this movie looks bad and nothing I've said applies to you, then I can respect your opinion. Personally, I can't wait to see this movie and have high expectations.

Wow, that was laughable . . .
I watched this scene on Rotten Tomatoes before I found this article and after viewing it was hoping to find a place where I could read people's responses. Now that I found this, I can finally express what I think. And what I think is that this looks incredibly cheesy and stupid. What's the point of this? Watching those guns floating around seemed too funny to be cool. It didn't look to me...

Now that I found this, I can finally express what I think. And what I think is that this looks incredibly cheesy and stupid. What's the point of this? Watching those guns floating around seemed too funny to be cool. It didn't look to me like the guns were being controlled by telekinesis; it just looked like these guns had this life of their own. The shots of the guns floating around finding their targets looked like a bad horror movie (you know, about guns that come to life and start stalking people). In an effort to try to do a cool action scene, they ended up just making a ridiculous looking sequence. And I agree: the whole [link] thing is an overused action movie cliche. They always have to hesitate so they can set up a contrived fight. Plus, why do they even have to use guns if they have telekinetic powers? I know we are expected to suspend disbelief in action movies, but this does not apply to scenes that are so ridiculous that they seemingly have no other point then to seem cool and, if it fails at that, why should we care?

I agree with the comments below me, except, if this is the only "good scene", this movie has the potential to be truly terrible. Floating guns stalking people? Come on! What works in a B-movie probably never works in a serious attempt at action!

Hmm
Why didn't he just "pull" the triggers and be done with it? The guns were right there at their temples. Still wanna see it, but its basically Heroes: The Movie.
