A few more details are emerging about FAST FIVE, which is the as-absurd-as-expected title for the fifth FAST AND FURIOUS movie. After word that director Justin Lin and stars Diesel and Walker would be back, the film finally has a location, and it's leaving Cali and heading south of the border. Way, way south of the border, according to the Diesel’s Facebook.

“Had a meeting with Justin Lin today regarding the Fast saga… some daring but fascinating thoughts in terms of action set pieces… and relationships, old and new. The team is on their way to Brazil this evening, to scout, and to see what selection of cars there are. P.s. Will be talking to DT next week, maybe he can let me show some concept art of Riddick… Peace.”

Oooh, AND Riddick concept art eh? Anyway, the fifth film is heading to Brazil where Diesel and Walker will be “fugitives being pursued by legendary lawmen.”

I’m one of a very small, die-hard contingent of F&F fans out there. I understand that the series is uniquely terrible, but it’s usually terrible in an awesome way, and the original FAST AND THE FURIOUS is without a doubt one of the most quotable movies ever made. I’m also a big fan of TOKYO DRIFT, but I thought the latest film took itself way too seriously. Hopefully Brazil will make everyone loosen up again.

I used to love Vin Diesel but man, this is sad. I know he needs a big commercial success but a 5th installement of one of the worst movie franchise ever?? Bring us another Riddick!

I loved all the films. I liked the second one the least, but I was suprised how much I liked Tokyo Drift. I'm down!

I don't think any of these sequels will top the original. There is no wasted time in the first movie. It's a fast-paced, guilty pleasure.

Change the title!
Please, please, please change the title! I'm excited for this, but they can't call it Fast Five. Give me a break. And I hope this movie has some new flavor to it, because I don't think Justin Lin is all that great and I don't want this movie to have the same exact tone that Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious had.

They said one of the new sequels of the franchise would be in Europe. My Idea would be to make "The fast and the furious vs. The Transporter".

meh...
the first was fun, the second was a bit agrivating because tyrese was always looking angry. i never watche 'tokyo drift' because it didn't seem like part of the series, and 4 was good enough closure. a fifth?? idk, once Walker and Vin disel is in it will me alright i suppose.

The first one and the last one were fucking great. Call it a guilty pleasure but there's more to'em than that. The relationship between Walker and Diesals characters are very well done. Bring on Fast Five!! By the way , I actually kinda dig that title. Short and sweet.

2 and 3 were kind of weak, but I find the films a fun guilty pleasure of mine. I just hope Jordana Brewster is coming back as well.

I think it's a pretty solid series, for brainless entertainment purposes. I only DIDN'T like the second one. So yeah... I want it loud when I watch it is all!

I liked the first two. The third one was ok. The fourth was hard to watch. How can a movie with fast cars be so boring? Cause 4 was just boring as hell. I almost fell asleep in the theater. I will see a 5th, but I expect it to be much more entertaining.

I remember Vin Diesel saying something like this soon after the 4th took place. I'm kinda looking for this one since I live in Brazil so I might check it out. Not really a fan of the franchise.

As long as they cut out the fucking stupid CGI car chases (like the one in the 4th through that underground canyon or whatever) then I'm game. Get back to the real badass car stunts from the first one and put the original cast in it. HOW HARD CAN THAT BE TO FUCK UP?!

I might watch the 5th one. But if it's anything like the last one it'll be horrible. The movie went absolutely nowhere. Speaking of which, I think it's about time I upgrade my first movie to Blu-ray. Hmmm.

I've seen every single movie from the series and I've yet to be impressed. The first blew, the second was watchable, the third mediocre, and the fourth absolutely excruciating. I'm done.
