Fear Inc., co-starring Naomi Grossman and Ashlynn Yennie, begins production

Lone Suspect, a production company formed by writer Luke Barnett and director Vincent Masciale, has caught some recognition for the videos they’ve created for the Funny or Die website, including a THE WALKING DEAD recap series called THE WALKED FRED and A GAME OF THRONES HALLOWEEN. In January of 2014, the company released a four minute short film called FEAR INC., which starred THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE‘s Ashlynn Yennie in the story of a young couple who seeks a frightening experience from the titular organization.

Lone Suspect is now moving into the feature world, and they’re doing so with a feature length expansion of the FEAR INC. concept.

The synopsis:

FEAR, INC. follows a company of degenerates who can be hired for a premium to bring your greatest fears to life. But when horror junkie Joe Foster’s customized scare seemingly begins, he and his friends must decide if this company is there to scare them, or make them pawns in their own sick game.

Yennie (pictured below) is returning for the feature, co-starring with Lucas Neff, Caitlin Stasey (pictured in the thumbnail), FREDDY VS. JASON‘s Chris Marquette, Stephanie Drake, Naomi Grossman (pictured above, best known for AMERICAN HORROR STORY), Patrick Renna, Ronnie Gene Blevins, and the always awesome Richard Riehle.

Masciale had this to say about the project, which began filming yesterday:

“With the self referential humor of films like SCREAM and CABIN IN THE WOODS and our background with Funny or Die, the goal is to add a large comedic element to the dark material.”

I enjoyed the short and Lone Suspect has assembled a solid cast for the feature, so FEAR INC. has my interest. Sounds like a fun time to me.

While we wait for the movie, you can check out the short right here.
